Year 6 School Leaders - Preschool visits Throughout 2023, our Year 6 student leaders have had the opportunity to visit four of the preschools in closest proximity to our school to read a story to a group of preschoolers. We believe that the opportunity to be involved in preschool visits will build each student's confidence, sense of community and an understanding of the importance of building relationships so that the preschool children see school as a positive experience. We have had positive feedback from our Year 6 Leaders as well as the preschools. The preschoolers look forward to seeing our Year 6 Leaders and love the stories that they read to them. The Year 6 leaders engage the children in the story by asking them questions and also telling them a lot about "big" school. Thank you to all the Year 6 leaders for always being ready with a smile and unwavering enthusiasm to read to the preschoolers. It has been wonderful seeing you enjoy the visits as much as the preschoolers

Infants Sports Fun Day On Wednesday our Kindy and Year 1 children had such a fun sports day in the beautiful sunshine ☀️ There was lots of laughter and squeals - ball activities, running, jumping, skipping, parachuting, billy cart racing and water pistol spraying ! Thank you to Ms Herzog, the teachers and our Year 6 leaders for organising such a successful and Fun Sports Day 😁

STEM MAD: Inspiring students to change the world
Inspired by a passion for science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and a desire to make a difference in the world, over 300 students from throughout Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains converged on CathWest Innovation College in Mt Druitt for an amazing 2023 Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) STEM MAD Showcase.

Year 6 Canberra excursion ! The buses left at 8.10am this morning with our very excited Year 6 students and staff. 🚌 They had morning tea at Berrima followed by lunch at Lake George. Everyone arrived safely and well in Canberra and visits have taken place at the War Memorial, Mount Ainslie lookout and Parliament House. The children have been wonderful and are enjoying their trip ☺️

Our students had the best day ever when they took part in our "Colour-a-thon". They danced, cheered, twisted and played lots of colourful games. A huge thank you to our families for their generous donations and to our sponsors for the fabulous prizes! ❤️🧡💛💙💚💜🖤 🤩🏃🏃♀️🏃♂️

St Michael's celebrated Mrs Maka's retirement by putting on a wonderful showcase of the children's talent. Every grade gave a performance that was outstanding. They took Mrs Maka on a journey through the years of music that was part of her life during the last 40 years. The scripts and the changes to the words of the songs made it very meaningful for her and the dancing was fabulous. The Choir and the Band also performed and were just amazing. Everyone who visits St Michael's acknowledges that our children are so well mannered and welcoming. Mrs Maka's children & grandchildren, the Deputy Executive Director of Catholic Schools Diocese of Parramatta and two of Mrs Maka's Principal colleagues who joined us for the farewell concert were totally amazed by the children’s talent, their behaviour and their welcome to the special visitors. What a fabulous send off St Michael's, we are so very proud of you all 🥰 Farewell Mrs Maka and God Bless you always 🫶
