Nagle College Launches New STEM Scholarship for Future Innovators
Nagle College Blacktown has announced the launch of the “Christine Howe STEM Academic Scholarship”, a new opportunity designed to support and inspire young women passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Students enrolling in Year 7 from 2026 are eligible to apply for the scholarship, which reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to excellence in learning within a supportive Catholic community.

🌏 🥇 World Champion Alert! 🥇🌏 Last weekend, Maddison competed in the ISKA AMA World Championships held in Brisbane. a massive 4-day event featuring 1300 competitors from 18 countries across Karate, Muay Thai, Kickboxing and BJJ disciplines! 💪 Maddison took part in five events and came home with an incredible 4 Gold medals 🥇🥇🥇🥇 and 1 Silver medal 🥈 officially making her the ISKA AMA World Champion in her age group for: 🏆 Traditional Forms 🏆 Traditional Weapons 🏆 Point Sparring 🏆 Sword Combat What an outstanding achievement, congratulations, Maddison! ✨ A-thon Fun! ✨ What an incredible first half of our A-thon we’ve had today! 💚 Students spent the day rotating through exciting activities — creating their class crosses and shields, taking on the zing inflatable course, and laughing their way through an afternoon of teachers getting slimed and running around in inflatable costumes!🤣 Tomorrow we’ll continue the fun with our Spelling Bee 🐝 and conclude with a special Mass celebrating our patron saint, St Michael the Archangel. ✝️💙 There’s still plenty of time to donate! 💰 Families can continue to contribute until next Wednesday. Every $10 donated earns a ticket into the prize draw, with lots of great prizes to be won! 🎁🙌 Full post to come. 🌟 Welcome, Little Learners! 🌟 Today we held our very first Playgroup for our Kindergarten students beginning in 2026 and what a wonderful morning it was! 🥰✨ Our playgroups are the perfect opportunity for children to meet new friends, explore their new surroundings, and start feeling right at home 💛 Parents also get the chance to connect and share this special journey together. 2026 Team Sport Trials Nominations Now Open The following sports are now open for nominations: Cricket – closing date: 23rd October 2025 Basketball & Tennis – closing date: 31st October 2025 2026 Trial Dates Cricket – 4th November 2025 Basketball – 18th November 2025 Tennis – 18th November 2025 Please note: All other team sports will open from 27th November 2025. Eligibility Students must be enrolled in Years 5 and 6 in 2026 to nominate. Students in Year 4 (2026) may nominate for Basketball, Hockey, Softball, Tennis, and Touch Football only. These trials are generally for students who demonstrate an above-average ability, a high level of skill development, or in some sports, representative playing experience. In most sports, students should have regular competition experience outside of school.
