πββοΈ Friday Run Club Energy! πββοΈ What a fantastic start to the day at Run Club last week! π π Smiles, fresh air and plenty of laps before the bell. We love seeing our students building healthy habits and cheering each other on! πͺβ¨ If itβs not too wet, Run Club is on again this Friday at 8:15am for Years 2-6. Parents must register via the CSNSW Sport portal: π https://csnsw.sport/sports/mackillop-primary-southern-nsw/diving π Registrations close: 9th March π DIVISIONS Springboard 8 Years β Boys & Girls 9 Years β Boys & Girls 10 Years β Boys & Girls 11 Years β Boys & Girls 12/13 Years β Boys & Girls Platform Open Primary β Boys & Girls π DIVING REQUIREMENTS π¦ Springboard Dives may be performed from either the 1m and/or 3m springboard. 8 & 9 Years (Boys & Girls) β 3 Dives 1 dive @ 1.5 degree of difficulty or less 2 dives with no limit on degree of difficulty 10 & 11 Years (Boys & Girls) β 4 Dives 2 dives @ 3.6 degree of difficulty or less 2 dives from 2 groups with no limit on degree of difficulty 12/13 Years (Boys & Girls) β 5 Dives 3 dives from 3 groups @ 5.4 degree of difficulty or less 2 dives from 2 groups with no limit on degree of difficulty π¦ Platform Dives performed from 5m platform only Open Primary (Boys & Girls) β 4 Dives 2 dives @ 3.6 degree of difficulty limit 2 dives with no limit on degree of difficulty π Important Information Registration is an Expression of Interest (EOI). Students must submit a nomination form. Students must attend selection trials to be eligible for selection. If successful, parents will receive notification via the CSNSW Sport portal. MacKillop selections will be based on EOI submissions. Selected competitors will compete at the NSWPSSA Diving Championships on 28 April 2026.

π GIRLS AFL TRIALS INFORMATION Girls 12 Years and Under β Selection Pathway (2026) π Expression of Interest (EOI) Registration This trial is for primary school girls aged 12 years and under. Eligibility Criteria: - Girls may be 12 years old, but must NOT turn 13 in 2026. - Girls turning 9 years or younger in 2026 are not eligible for selection. - Players must have AFL playing experience. - Parents/carers must register an EOI via the CSNSW Sport Portal. https://csnsw.sport/sports/mackillop-primary-southern-nsw/australian-football π EOI Closing Date: Tuesday, 10th March 2026 π All students must register to attend the MacKillop Trials in Wagga Wagga. π MacKillop Girls AFL Trials - Trials will be held to select the MacKillop Girls AFL Team. π Date: Tuesday, 24th March 2026 π Location: Wagga Wagga π MacKillop Team - Players selected in the MacKillop Team will compete at the NSWPSSA Girls AFL Championship π Tamworth π 11thβ12th May 2026 β Important Reminders Only eligible primary female students with AFL experience should register. EOI must be submitted by the closing date of Tuesday, 10th March 2026 Students must register specifically for the MacKillop Trials in Wagga Wagga. Selection at trials is required to progress to the NSWPSSA Championship.

Ash Wednesday βοΈποΈ Today we gathered as a school community to begin the season of Lent. Our K-2 students participated reverently in a liturgy, while Years 3-6 attended Mass and received ashes, marking this sacred time of prayer, reflection and renewal. It was beautiful to see our students begin Lent with such respect and reverence. π€ Thank you to the parents who joined us in prayer. π₯β¨ Shrove Tuesday Celebrations β¨π₯ Today our school community marked Shrove Tuesday with smiles, syrup and a very special reminder of what this day truly means. π Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday. Pancakes became a symbol of the day as families used up rich ingredients like eggs, milk and sugar before the simpler meals of Lent began. π₯β¨ Today, our students were delighted to receive pancakes to commemorate this important day. A joyful tradition that connects us to our faith and reminds us to prepare our hearts for the Lenten journey ahead. Big Buddies, Little Buddies π€π Today our Year 6 and Kindergarten buddies met for the first time and oh my goodnessβ¦ what a beautiful moment it was! π₯Ήβ¨ There were big smiles, little hands held tightly, and so much excitement buzzing around the playground. Our Year 6 students showed such kindness, care and leadership as they embraced their new role π For our Kindergarten students, there was pure joy in meeting their βbig buddyβ a new friend to look up to, learn from and share special moments with throughout the year. π We can already tell this is going to be a year filled with connection, confidence and lots of heartwarming memories.
