‘Get Moving’ was the theme for St Michael’s annual ‘a-thon’ event held on Tuesday September 4 2018. This year we focussed on the healthy benefits of ‘getting moving’ and its influence on the learning and development of children.
Our school was registered for National Health & Physical Education Day which was on September 5.
Health & Physical Education (HPE) Day is a nationwide initiative that highlights the importance of HPE in the Australian Curriculum, and its influence on the learning and development of children.
Most children’s waking hours are spent sitting at school and at home, so it’s important to get them to be more active as part of everyday life.
The rain held off (nobody would have complained about rain!) and all planned grade activities were able to take place. The school was filled with the sounds of fun and frivolity as students and teachers engaged in energetic games. Everyone got moving!
Thank you to our families for your generous support of our ‘Move-a-thon’ day. A total of $15,948.95 has been raised so far to go towards the literacy and technology resources for teaching and learning.

π Lest We Forget πΊ Bright and early this morning, while most of us were still tucked up in bed, our amazing school captains were already up and representing our community with pride at the ANZAC Day dawn service. With the sun slowly rising, they stood respectfully to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who have served our country. It was a special moment of reflection and a beautiful way to come together in remembrance. We are so proud of the way they stepped up, showing leadership, respect and heart on such an important day β€οΈπΊ #LestWeForget #ANZACDay #StudentLeadership #SchoolPride #StMichaels #PrimarySchool #BaulkhamHills #CSPD #CatholicSchool
