Jersey Day, held on August 31, has been inspired by the story of Nathan Gremmo whose life was tragically lost in an accident in May 2015.
Nathan’s family chose to focus on the gift of life to others through organ donation and to honour the legacy of Nathan’s generous personality.
Jersey Day is close to the heart for St Michael’s as Nathan and his two sisters were second generation students at our school. St Michael’s is proud to support Jersey Day to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation.

🌟 Welcome, Little Learners! 🌟 Today we held our very first Playgroup for our Kindergarten students beginning in 2026 and what a wonderful morning it was! 🥰✨ Our playgroups are the perfect opportunity for children to meet new friends, explore their new surroundings, and start feeling right at home 💛 Parents also get the chance to connect and share this special journey together. 2026 Team Sport Trials Nominations Now Open The following sports are now open for nominations: Cricket – closing date: 23rd October 2025 Basketball & Tennis – closing date: 31st October 2025 2026 Trial Dates Cricket – 4th November 2025 Basketball – 18th November 2025 Tennis – 18th November 2025 Please note: All other team sports will open from 27th November 2025. Eligibility Students must be enrolled in Years 5 and 6 in 2026 to nominate. Students in Year 4 (2026) may nominate for Basketball, Hockey, Softball, Tennis, and Touch Football only. These trials are generally for students who demonstrate an above-average ability, a high level of skill development, or in some sports, representative playing experience. In most sports, students should have regular competition experience outside of school.
