Jersey Day, held on August 31, has been inspired by the story of Nathan Gremmo whose life was tragically lost in an accident in May 2015.
Nathan’s family chose to focus on the gift of life to others through organ donation and to honour the legacy of Nathan’s generous personality.
Jersey Day is close to the heart for St Michael’s as Nathan and his two sisters were second generation students at our school. St Michael’s is proud to support Jersey Day to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation.

Science took a fascinating turn this week as our Kindy Red scientists delved into the concept of evaporation. They painted pictures on the ground with water and eagerly observed as the water slowly evaporated before their eyes. Trundling along measuring in Km, M, cm and mm. The students in 5IF had a real experience in estimating and then accurately measuring distance using the trundle wheel. Furthermore, they also used masking tape to make 2D shapes given the perimeter.
